Your local Safer Neighbourhood Teams from Hackbridge, The Wrythe, St Helier West, St Helier East wards will be coming together to host a community engagement stall focusing on crime prevention and Burglary awareness, including advice tailored around Asian gold burglary affecting our communities.

Burglary prevention advice(including protection of gold jewellery )

Avoid keeping large amounts of gold or high-value jewellery at home where possible

Consider using a bank safety deposit box for valuable or sentimental items.

keep jewellery out of sight and avoid storing it in obvious places (e.g bedrooms, drawers )

Ensure doors and windows are secure- consider upgrading locks if needed

Be mindful of who has access to your home and avoid sharing details of valuables publicly or on social media.
